Mide Martins has cleared the air over her marital crisis

Yoruba actress, Mide Martins, has cleared the air over her marital crisis which was exposed on social media early last week. The mother of two celebrated her birthday on April 12, while her husband, actor Afeez Abiodun, popularly known as Afeez Owo, celebrated his the following day, April 13. While the actor put up a picture of his wife to celebrate with her on her birthday, the actress failed to reciprocate the gesture. As a result, the actress’ fans were disappointed and queried her on why she refused to send him a birthday message or put up his picture while other actresses were doing so. One of her fans asked if she was not proud of her husband and also insinuated that she moved out of her matrimonial home. On Saturday, she reacted in a series of posts on Instagram, explaining that she did not move out of her matrimonial home; her husband did. Olubadan preaches love, peace at Easter

The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji, has enjoined Christians and non-Christians in Ibadan, Oyo State and the country to make love and peace their watchword. Lionel Messi: "I Would Be Proud to Meet Barack Obama"

Lionel Messi has responded to comments from Barack Obama saying the president and his two daughters would like to meet the FC Barcelona and Argentina star. "Obviously, I was surprised that Obama said that, but on the contrary, for me it would be completely the opposite," Messi stated. "For me it would be a source of great pride to be able to meet him and his daughters, but obviously I know it would be complicated." Walmart to close 269 stores worldwide

Walmart said Friday that it will close 269 stores globally, including shutting down its fleet of 102 'Express' format stores in the U.S. Walmart (WMT) will close 269 stores around the world in a strategic move to focus more on its supercenters and e-commerce business, the company said Friday. The closures include 154 U.S. locations, encompassing Walmart's entire fleet of 102 "Express" format stores, its smallest stores, which have been in pilot testing since 2011. Some supercenters, Sam's Club locations and Neighborhood Markets will also close, plus 115 stores in Latin American markets. The closures were decided based on financial performance and how well the locations fit with Walmart's broader strategy, says Greg Hitt, a company spokesman.
